PALMDALE, CA - Scilux, a sleek aerodynamically-styled fixture for civic and commercial sites, is now available from U. S. Architectural Lighting. 
     This sharp cut-off area light is designed for pole mounting up to 40’ and is offered in one, two, three or four-fixture configurations for precise illumination and increased safety in public areas.
     Scilux is featured in two sizes: a large 200- to 400-watt model  (32” x 20” x 13.5” high) and the matching 70- to 170-watt Scilux-M  (24” x 15” x 10” high).      Both models are constructed from precise, durable cast aluminum and feature a polyester powder-coated finish in a range of colors: dark bronze, medium bronze, black, white and silver. The finish is high temperature-treated for maximum hardness and exterior durability.
     Unique ribbed styling details on the hood enhance the fixture design and dissipate heat, which increases both lamp and ballast life.
     Like all U.S. Architectural Lighting fixtures, the Scilux Series is designed with Instaleze™, the totally tool-less access to the lamp and ballast compartment for faster and easier installation and maintenance.
     Fixture components can be replaced in seconds with Instaleze: Two integrated spring clips disengage the reflector/ lens assembly from the housing for lamp servicing. The modular multi-tap ballast tray then “snaps-out” for easy replacement.
     Scilux additionally features computer-designed specular segmented reflectors which work in concert with 3/16” clear tempered glass lenses to provide a variety of light distributions – all dark sky compliant. The reflector assemblies are entirely field rotatable and high temperature EPDM gaskets seal the door frame from contaminants.
